Who We Are
A Distinct Identity
LightHouse StoreHouse Food Distribution knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. Back in 2000, our 501c(3) non-profit LightHouse StoreHouse realized by working together we could overcome our community hunger challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to launch LightHouse StoreHouse Food Center and open a building in 2010. We are now able to effectively meet the needs of the community with fresh vegetables, non-perishable food, household goods, and more. We distribute the goods out of our warehouse to help food banks, and food pantries, while we started a drive-thru food bank in 2020. Also our food is cooked at churches that provide meals to the community throughout Washington state. We also provide opportunities for people to get work skills training, community service fulfillment, aid in reentry into society after incarceration, provide opportunities for people to get off street, and out of addiction.
In February 2012 when I came to Washington I was homeless. I meet the Director of LightHouse StoreHouse Pastor Kenneth Banks mid April that year. Upon meeting Pastor Banks my life changed drastically. LightHouse StoreHouse offers food, clothing, job training and resources, connections to different ministries to help housing just to name a few of the resources I received. I thank God for Pastor Banks, LightHouse StoreHouse, and it's partner's. I believe in the mission God has placed in Pastor Banks heart for impacting the community through food and HIS word, so much so that I have been a volunteer for over 7yrs, as well as financially donating.
Meet Deepthi and her mom
I’m an International Dentist from India, I moved with my family to the USA in 2015 for health reasons of my son. I came as a dependent with my husband, and keeping up with doctor appointments and additional schooling. We spent everything we had, with the financial help of my parents in India, we have been successful to find the right medical doctors. It is always hard when I see my husband or parents want to buy something for themselves or for the family but on second thoughts they always change their mind because of the family constraints. I thank the the LightHouse StoreHouse for huge donation of couch, Lasko heater, office chair for my husband, kitchen utensils, portable air bed and sheets to clothes for all my family members and toys for the kids. Now I can see every corner of our apartment filled with blessings of God through his people. According to me it requires a huge heart and lot of patience with which they have been blessed abundantly by our savior Jesus Christ.
Thank You so much.
A generous person will prosper: whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.
